(Workshop) Enterprise IT Infrastructure using FOSS

This talk presents how Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) can leverage FOSS services application to provide the foundation of their IT infrastructure. The presentation will show how to use the following components to build their IT infrastructure.

  • Hardware setup for server
  • Disk partitioning (RAID1) with LVM on top of it
  • OpenSSL?
  • OpenLDAP? for directory services and authentication
  • DNS/BIND
  • Samba - Domain Controller for Windows
  • Apache
  • Postfix/Dovecot/Squirrelmail
  • Groupware/Intranet Portal
  • CRM - XRMS
  • Document Management
  • BLOG/Wiki
  • VPN (OpenSwan? )
  • Cacti/Nagios for NMS

All the services will use OpenLDAP? as the foundation for directory services as well as authentication. The talk will present basic setup of the above.
