Programming with Qt 4 - Multiplatform/Portable GUI Programming Made Easy

Qt sets the standard for high-performance, cross-platform application development. It includes a C++ class library and tools for cross-platform development and internationalization. Qt is used in software from various domains from oil and gas industry, defence, medical, desktop and many others.\n\n\n This talk/workshop aims to introduce basic Qt programming to people with programming background. Knowledge of C/C++ is not necessary but definitely an advantage. The talk with cover basic programming with Qt and finish of at a point where delegates should be able to do their own development using Qt and learn further advanced Qt programming from available documentation and resources.\n\n\n This talk automagically forms the basis for delving into KDE programming since Qt is the base of KDE and KDE programming. Students in CS who often use or plan to use VB/VC++/Java Swing for development for their GUI requirements (and other tools and requirements ) will find this talk/workshop very beneficial.
