Announcement

This is a workshop conducted jointly by the Computer Society of India, Ghaziabad chapter, Inderprastha Enginering College, the Indian Linux Users' Group, Delhi (ILUG-D), and Freed.in, and will be held at the Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC) campus, , on September 5th, from 11 am - 4.30pm. The aim of the workshop is to introduce students to the philosophy behind Free/Open Source Software (FOSS), and to show software engineers some of the possibilities afforded them by FOSS.

Workshop schedule

  • 11am - noon: Introduction to Free/Open Source Software (FOSS): Gora Mohanty

  • Noon -1pm: Basics of Linux,Installation,GUI Management,Package Management: Rakesh Kumar

  • 1pm-1.30pm: Lunch

  • 1.30pm - 4.30pm: Rapid web development with Python and Django Gora Mohanty.
