My Personal Data

Gora Mohanty is an astrophysicist by training, and became familiar with Linux, and open-source tools during the course of his career. After seeing the light, he now works on Free/Open Source software, focusing currently on Indian language computing, and cutting edge technologies like mobile computing (J2ME? , OpenMoko? , etc.), embedded devices, and geographical-based services, using GPS, OpenStreetMap? , GSM-based location, etc. He is also actively involved in free software evangelism, and is a member of the Indian Linux Users' Group, Delhi, and Freed.in.
