Workshop at KNMIET, Ghaziabad

Announcement

This is a workshop conducted jointly by the Computer Society of India (CSI), Ghaziabad chapter, KNMIET, the Indian Linux Users' Group, Delhi (ILUG-D), Freed.in, and Sarai, CSDS. It will be held at the campus of the Dr.Kedar Nath Modi Institute of Engineering & Technology, on Sat., Feb. 7th, 2009, from 11am to 5pm.

Workshop schedule

• 11.00am-11.30am: Introduction to Free Software: KishoreBhargava
• 11.30am-Noon: Working with local FOSS communities: KishoreBhargava
• Noon-1pm: Linux installation: ShantanuChoudhary, NandeepMali

• 1pm-2pm: Lunch

• 2pm-3pm: gcc, and an introduction to the basic GNU toolchain: SupreetSethi
• 3pm-4pm: Demo. of the Eclipse IDE: AdityaBharadwaj?

• KNMIET, is located at Modinagar in western U.P., on Delhi–Meerut–Dehradun National Highway (NH-58) and is at a distance of 32 kms from the Delhi Border.
